Northern Mockingbird        Mimus polyglottos

The Northern Mockingbird breeds throughout much of the United States, south to Mexico, the Bahama Islands, and the Carribbean.

This bird is a year-round resident of Florida.  It breeds throughout the state south to Key West, absent only from the western Everglades.  It breeds from March thru July, although most nesting occurs in April and May.
