Common Grackle Quiscalus quiscula

The Common Grackle breeds in most areas of North America east of the Rocky Mountains and south of the tundra.  They are quite adaptable and are found in many types of habitat.  In Florida, they are an abundant permanent resident throughout the whole state.  During the winter months, their population increases due to migrating birds from the northern part of their range.
